Have you spoken with your doctor about this?  He or she should be able to give you something.  I take 10 mg baclofen 3x daily for muscle spasms.  Fortunately I am still able to deal with pain with ibuprofen.  However, three of my sisters are on huge doses of neurontin and narcotics.

I would also suggest an anti-inflammatory diet and addressing any food allergies.  I went through a couple of years of pretty severe pain, but much of that has subsided being on an anti-inflammatory diet and avoiding wheat, milk and eggs.

I have been doing physical therapy for about a year now.  I do pool work, massage, hot packs and muscle stimulation.  It has changed my life.  Exercise of any kind is helpful for me with pain and mobility.  I do a lot of stretching, I lay on the floor and do leg lifts and crunches (my version ).  Real important too is good shoes.  New Balance has Velcro closure in a shoe with Roll Bars.  Its amazing, since I got these and leg braces, I'm good to go!
